Mission Statement

The goal of MAQGNet is to unify guilds with diverse interests by sharing critiques of resources (lecturers and teachers); providing information that is pertinent to quilt guilds; discussing and finding solutions to guild related issues; and promoting a positive atmosphere in which quilting can flourish.

Welcome to MAQGNet!

In November 1984, some very insightful women had a vision to have representatives from different guilds, get together and share information pertaining to their guilds, programs, and anything else quilting related. They worked to make their vision a reality and over the intervening years the organization, presently known as MAQGNet (Mid Atlantic Quilt Guild Network), was formed.

MAQGNet currently includes about 45+ member guilds and 60+ resources. We meet once a year in the spring, generally in central New Jersey. Meeting time is spent evaluating teachers and speakers (“Resources”) that the guilds have used over the past year, and discussing other guild related topics including: membership drives, quilt shows, fund raising ideas, volunteerism, philanthropy programs and more.
